In the early 1900's, a 16-year-old boy from Sweden ventured to America with $25 in his pocket to join his older brother in hopes of earning his way to prosperity. After three days in a holding tank at Ellis Island, then scraping by working numerous factory jobs for years, the boy, Reuben A. Aldeen, would co-found The American Cabinet Hardware Corporation in Rockford, Illinois with his brother, Gedor.

Surviving the Great Depression, World War II, and countless financial challenges, these men forged a company through hard work, ingenuity, and customer service. The company would eventually be renamed Amerock®, and 80 years later, the principles that helped catapult the company into a leadership position in the industry remain largely unchanged.

Amerock is defining cabinet hardware fashion in homes everywhere. They continue to introduce new designs, colors and finishes, based on constant surveys of decorating trends and consumer preferences. Amerock brings you fresh, lasting looks which appeal to a variety of tastes.
